Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
Jambo! Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be greeted by your friendly guide, who will provide a brief overview of your upcoming adventure. After your warm welcome, you’ll head to the luxurious Sarova Stanley hotel for check-in. Take time to rest and enjoy the hotel’s amenities before indulging in a delightful dinner. Your overnight stay at this prestigious hotel will set the perfect tone for your safari journey ahead.
Day 2: Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After breakfast, embark on a scenic three to four-hour drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a true paradise for rhino enthusiasts. Home to the largest population of black rhinos in East and Central Africa, the conservancy is also the last refuge for the two remaining northern white rhinos in the world. In addition to rhinos, Ol Pejeta offers the chance to see the Big Five and a sanctuary for rescued chimps. Upon arrival, check in at Sweetwaters Serena Camp and enjoy a delicious lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp, where the sounds of the African night will lull you to sleep.
Day 3: Ol Pejeta to Samburu National Reserve
Next, we head to Samburu National Reserve, a stunning destination characterized by its semi-arid landscape and rich wildlife. The drive takes approximately five hours, and upon arrival, you will check in at Samburu Sopa Lodge for lunch. In this breathtaking reserve, you can expect to see elephants, lions, leopards, and the unique Samburu Special Five: Grevy’s zebra, Gerenuk, Beisa oryx, Reticulated giraffe, and Somali ostrich. An afternoon game drive will provide an exciting introduction to the remarkable wildlife of Samburu.
Day 4: Full Day Safari in Samburu National Reserve
Enjoy a full day of exploration in Samburu National Reserve, where the thrill of seeking the Big Five awaits. Morning and afternoon game drives offer the best opportunities for wildlife sightings. During the heat of the day, you can relax at the lodge or immerse yourself in the culture of the Samburu people. Day 5: Samburu to Solio Game Reserve
Today, we journey to Solio Game Reserve, a private sanctuary renowned for its rhino conservation efforts. Located between the slopes of Mount Kenya and the Aberdare Mountains, this reserve is home to approximately 200 rhinos. Originally a cattle ranch, Solio Ranch has transformed into a thriving wildlife sanctuary. After checking in at Rhino Watch Safari Lodge, enjoy lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive to spot these magnificent creatures. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.
Day 6: Solio Game Reserve to Lake Nakuru National Park
Prepare for a picturesque drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, which takes around three hours. As you approach, the stunning vista of the lake nestled in the Great Rift Valley will take your breath away. Known for its incredible birdlife and rhino population, Lake Nakuru is a must-visit destination. Days 7 & 8: Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha and Crescent Island
On the morning of Day 7, embark on an early game drive at Lake Nakuru before enjoying breakfast. Next, we will drive approximately two hours to the enchanting Lake Naivasha, the highest lake within the Great Rift Valley. Enjoy a boat safari surrounded by hippos and flamingos, and spot zebras and giraffes along the shores. Afterward, you can experience a guided walking safari on Crescent Island, a hidden gem teeming with wildlife. Accommodation for both nights will be at Crater Lake Tented Camp and Game Lodge, where you will enjoy delicious meals and the beauty of nature.
Day 9: Lake Naivasha to Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, embark on a seven to eight-hour drive to Amboseli National Park, known for its breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Arriving in the afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to take an unforgettable sunset game drive. Amboseli is famous for its large herds of elephants, making it a photographer’s paradise. You’ll check in at Tulia Camp Amboseli for dinner and an overnight stay, ready for the adventures that await you the next day.
Day 10: Full Day Safari in Amboseli National Park
Rise early for a thrilling game drive at sunrise when wildlife is most active. Spend the day exploring Amboseli National Park, home to diverse ecosystems and incredible wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, and big cats. In addition to wildlife viewing, consider visiting a Maasai village to learn more about their rich culture. Day 11: Tsavo West National Park
Experience the diverse landscapes of Tsavo West National Park, known for its lush hills and stunning vistas. Days 12 & 13: Tsavo East National Park
Next, we venture to Tsavo East National Park, just a two-hour drive from Tsavo West. With its vast savannahs and abundance of wildlife, Tsavo East is famous for its lions and elephants. Spend your days exploring iconic locations such as Madunda Rock, Lugard Falls, and Aruba Dam, where you can witness a variety of wildlife in their natural habitat. Your accommodation for both nights will be at Sentrim Tsavo, where you’ll enjoy meals and unwind after your exciting game drives.
Day 14: Departure from Tsavo to Nairobi
