The Masai Mara is located in the southwestern part of Kenya, it is one of Africa’s most famous wildlife reserves. Known for its abundant wildlife, the reserve is home to the famous Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhinoceros) as well as a variety of other species like zebras, giraffes, hyenas, wildebeests, cheetahs, and many more. The highlight of this reserve is the Great Migration, which occurs between July and October, where millions of wildebeest, gazelles and zebras migrate from Tanzania’s Serengeti to Masai Mara in search of fresh grass.
