Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara Game Reserve
Your adventure begins with a pick-up at an agreed time and location. After a brief introduction to the tour, you will head to Masai Mara On this day, you will journey through the spectacular Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. Known for its incredible biodiversity, this reserve is part of the vast Serengeti plains, famous for the great wildebeest migration and the iconic big five: lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino. You will arrive in the late afternoon and settle into your accommodation at Sentrim Mara Camp.
Here, you can enjoy snacks or a late lunch while soaking in the camp’s amenities. The Masai Mara is teeming with wildlife, where large mammals like Masai giraffes, buffalo, and numerous plains game such as impalas, zebras, and gazelles roam freely.
Day 2: Explore Masai Mara full Day
On this day, you will journey through the spectacular Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. Known for its incredible biodiversity, this reserve is part of the vast Serengeti plains, famous for the great wildebeest migration and the iconic big five: lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino. You will arrive in the late afternoon and settle into your accommodation at Sentrim Mara Camp.
Here, you can enjoy snacks or a late lunch while soaking in the camp’s amenities. The Masai Mara is teeming with wildlife, where large mammals like Masai giraffes, buffalo, and numerous plains game such as impalas, zebras, and gazelles roam freely.
Day 3: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru
Lake Nakuru National Park, a true bird lover’s paradise nestled in the Great Rift Valley. While the rising water levels have reduced the flamingo population, the park remains stunningly beautiful and vibrant. Towering rocky escarpments overlook acacia forests, waterfalls, and the iconic euphorbia trees that surround the lake.
Moreover, the diverse birdlife, including pelicans, cormorants, kingfishers, ostriches, storks, and eagles, fills the scene with color and life. Yet, the wildlife viewing doesn’t stop there. Lake Nakuru is known for its conservation efforts and is home to some endangered species, including the rare Rothschild’s Giraffe and white rhino, particularly along the lakeshore. In fact, the park shelters one of the largest populations of black rhino in Kenya, making it a top spot for Kenya safari tours.
Accommodation for the night will be at Ziwa Bush Lodge, where you can check in and enjoy a delicious lunch. Following lunch, set off for an afternoon game drive before returning to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Wake up early for stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds obscure the summit. Then, set off on a game drive where you can expect to see an array of wildlife, including wildebeests, giraffes, and baboons. Amboseli is also rich in culture, home to the legendary Masai tribesmen, known for their bravery and vibrant culture.
After breakfast, a visit to a traditional Masai village will provide a glimpse into their way of life, including singing and dancing that form a vital part of their daily rituals. Following your cultural experience, return to your lodge for lunch and a chance to rest before another afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight stay will be at your camp.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park to the Amboseli
After a hearty breakfast, you’ll embark on a morning game drive in the Rhino Sanctuary, where you can witness a colony of approximately 25 white and black rhinos. Predators such as lions and leopards also call this park home. Later, you will depart for Amboseli National Park via Nairobi, enjoying a packed lunch en route. You will arrive in the late evening for dinner and overnight accommodation at Sentrim Amboseli.
Day 5: Discovering Amboseli National Park
Today is dedicated to extensive game drives in search of Kenya’s majestic wildlife, including elusive predators like cheetahs and leopards hidden in acacia bushes. The vast plains are alive with enormous herds of grazing animals, providing fantastic opportunities for Kenya wildlife photography.
Additionally, you will have the option to visit a Masai village, allowing for a deeper understanding of their unique culture and social structure. Witnessing their traditional dances and daily life is a moving experience that adds a personal touch to your safari.
Day 6: Amboseli National Park to Nairobi
As your magical safari comes to an end, enjoy breakfast before checking out of the lodge. The journey back to Nairobi spans approximately 290 kilometers and will take about six hours by road.
Along the way, enjoy a packed lunch prepared by Jambo Mara/ Sentrim Mara Camp. Upon arrival in Nairobi, your guide will drop you off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport/ hotel for your departure flight or at your hotel, as per your pre-arranged accommodation plan.
